I recently delved into a text on Golden Dawn inspired Ceremonial Ritual Magick. The book is called " The Ritual Magic Manual: A Complete Course in Practical Magic " by David Griffin.

The Hexagram rituals of the Greater Invoking and Banishing are different in the way that the hexagrams are broken up into triads just like in the Lesser Hexagram Rituals, however; the points of the triads are attributed to the different planets and sephiroth. One traces the triads going clockwise from a certain point for invoking and anti-clockwise for banishing. I found that in a lot of texts, this way is used, and I just never picked it up because the Rites are vague in many texts like Regardie's Black Brick for instance. I was taught how Aleister Crowley describes the Rite in Liber O and the Hermetic Order Of The Roundtable teaches to trace the full hexagrams of fire and water in every direction then turn towards where the planet is physically in the sky then do one more huge hexagram. This fifth hexagram is also traced in the former way of the Supreme or Greater Ritual of the Hexagram. It has really piqued my interest.

Anyway This is the way that I perform the Greater Invoking Ritual of the Hexagram of Sol ∴
Trace 24 Full Hexagrams to Knock on the door of Sol/ Tiphareth. This is the 6 other planets/sephiroth all traced from Saturn to the Moon, in all 4 directions for all 6 then I a Hug 25th Hexagram of Earth/Saturn in the direction of the Sun at the end.
I am absolutely going to explore the other way to perform the GRH. Also, the RItual Magic Manual uses Pentagrams to invoke the Energies of the Zodiac, which is foreign to me as well. I will stay updated with more news on these alternative rituals.
